8 weeks pregnant and my symptoms are going?

Hey just looking for reassurance!! I'm 8 weeks pregnant ! Last week I was beginning to feel sick then all of a sudden it's gone. My boobs did hurt but that's stopped to! The only symptoms I have left is tiredness? And to top it off I ve woken up with a feeling of period pain this morning??

Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes yes yes!
I sometimes forget I'm even pregnant (and I'm about 8/9 weeks too). My boobs hurt a bit still, but not as bad as they did. I've had no cravings, no nausea, don't want to eat like a horse (quite the opposite), had the period pain, still desperately want a glass or 2 of wine when I get home from work and then remember I can't.

Part of me thinks I'm not actually pregnant at all and there's just something wrong with my urine Confused

It's quite normal especially if you're only having very mild symptoms anyway. It would be more remarkable if you went from vomiting every 53 minutes and swollen rock hard boobs to nothing.

It's normal for the symptoms to come and go a bit and having days where you feel normal is a bit of a blessing. I understand why it's worrying though. Give it a couple of days and I'll wager you'll have symptoms again.

My symptoms (nausea, sore breasts, tiredness) all disappeared around about 9 weeks the day after I had experienced some cramping. Cue appointment at the EPU for a scan. All was fine and most of my symptoms reappeared a few days later (except for the sore boobs which has never come back Smile. I'm now 31+4

I had this at around 8 weeks too - I'm now 10 weeks and the nausea is back with a vengeance.... It's hard not to panic when the symptoms wane but it seems like it's pretty standard. One of the ladies on one of the other threads has got a good theory that your hormones rise in surges rather than continuously, so when you're between surges you start to feel normal again. No idea if it's true or not but it would explain a lot if it was.

it might be worth checking with your midwife. She'll be able to reassure you, if only by getting you to the EPU.

As others have said, symptoms can come and go, but there might be other reasons. Best to see your midwife.

Our midwife wouldn't refer for loss of mild symptoms. Because it's normal for pregnancy and our epau is ridiculously overstretched.

You could ask, but just prepare for the midwife telling you to 'wait and see'. Wait and see btw is the pregnancy equivalent of a child being diagnosed with a 'virus'. Doesn't help much but usually true. Grin

Although I will add that while some cramps/stretching pains are normal, if you get significant pain, bleeding, feel unwell etc then of course see somebody asap.

Thank you soooo much for the reassurance my husband and family are getting mad with me for worrying! I just can't help it!

Anyway I have booked myself in for a scan tomorrow £80 worth every penny I say!!!!

Again thanks and congrats to all xxx

Congratulations Goingtobeamum! I'm in a similar position to you. 5 and a half weeks pregnant with not a symptom in sight! Originally had quite severe cramping. Since the last few days- nothing. Been reassured by the lovely girls here; and obviously by your experience too now(!) that a) it may be too early for symptoms yet, and b) maybe I'm just very lucky. Very relaxed now and not at all worried! Very good news regarding your bean. Holy you have a healthy worry free pregnancy x :-)

Diamondsamdrubies · 06/03/2011 11:33

Hoping not holy! Stupid phone!

Going2bamum · 06/03/2011 17:53
