hiya
im 37 weeks today went to midwife on monday and now have a ton of questions for anyone with some time :o

mw found protein in my urine said could have a uti and sent a sample of
bloodpressure was slighlty higher than normal but in the normal range and she said i did look puffy (dunno myself as far as im concerned ive been puffy since week 1 ) so she said no chance of pre eclampsia as i hadnt had it in my first pg 5 years ago is this true? lab results should be back next week to see if i have a uti
have been feeling crap the last couple of weeks but thought it was a bug but maby it is a uti what are the symptoms in pg only had one when not pg before?

also my results from 34 weeks showed i was borderline anemia my level was 107? not sure what this means but she said shed just wait and see if this weeks blood test showed up the same then think about treating it - last time i was given iron immedietly so i was a bit confused by this is it ok just to leave it this late in the day?

also the head is 2/5ths engaged (and i can sure feel that when i walk) but i thought it didbnt engage in second pg till labour?

not seeing midwife till 40 weeks now and she rushed me in and out on monday so do any of these things need looking at before then and should i be chasing them or should i just leave it till then?

thanks if your still there

I would go back in a week and get your blood pressure and urine rechecked just to be on the safe side. You can see your midwife when you want it shouldn't have to be a rigid plan. You could also ask your P to check your blood pressure and test your urine.
Iron count of 10.7 is borderline you could start iron if you wished it would't do you any harm again your GP could prescribe this if you had a chat with him.
Don't worry about head engagement different for everyone is good that head engaged.
Hope this helps

i might go and get a appointment with the gp phoned today and and asked about result but the receptionist said prob wouldnt be back till next week

midwife is impossible to get hold of only works 1 hour a week at gps and is part time anyway so if i phone direct isnt there and im told to phone gps surgery or labour ward - obv dont want to waste there time though

is head engagment a sign of imminent labour then or just something that can go on for weeks?

I had severe pe 5 years after my first pregnancy so the mw is speaking bollocks. Familarise yourself with the symptoms of pe online and if you get any go see your go to get your bp checked the same day.
