Hi folks. I had PE with first preg but not with second. I'm now checking urine at 37 wks of third pregnancy and protein is + 30 (the first point beyond trace). I have no swelling but some tightness under ribcage. Are my protein levels significant does anyone know?

Have you had your bp measured? You can have protein in your urine for other reasons (infection being one) but the combination of protein and raised blood pressure generally means PE.

if you have had pe before you should go and get your bp checked now as you are high risk

Not yet, need to take trek to doc or midwife for that. It's been about a week since bp was last measured, high side of normal apparently.

you deffo need to go and get checked, you know you do.

HappyHugs · 02/03/2011 13:32

I know, avoiding it isn't going to make it go away...

I don't know what happened to you with #1 but I nearly died from PE and I understand theres a high risk for your baby too sooyou need to get checked, you shouldn't fuck about with PE.
