Gestational Diabetes Question - Advice Pleased

Hi there, midwife has picked up glucose in urine on two visits and referred for blood test. She has just rang to say that sugar in my blood is raised and booked me into the hospital for a glucose test on the 22nd March? Just wondered if this wait is normal and if there is any risk to me/baby in meantime. My father is insulin dependant diabetic, i have had constant nausea/sickness throughout pregnancy which only eases if I eat and my first baby was a big baby 81b 140zs? I also checked my sugar at my fathers house the other Saturday morning when I was feeling particularly sick and it was 2.4 (all of which has been mentioned to midwife!).
I am at work so may not be able to reply until tonight but in the meantime any advice/thoughts would be appreciated.

Sounds like you are feeling sick due to mild hyPOglycaemia rather than hyPER, i.e. blood sugars too low. I'm not sure how long is a normal weight but I'm sure if your MW thought it was urgent she would have had you in sooner so try not to worry :)
