I'm due in July and so many emotions!

Hi, I'm due in August. This is my second pregnancy/baby. Don't have much time now as have to go to see midwife shortly, but wanted to mark my place.

Might be able to help with some been-there-done-that "wisdom". Or not!

Hi, I'm due in July with my 3rd. Feeling tired and huge and hoping my bump doesn't keep growing at this rate.

WinterLover · 02/03/2011 12:51

I'm due 19th August with my 1st :)

There are some due in July threads on here and in the a-natal club section - and there are threads for August mums too!

Congrats!

Due July 16 charleigh0 have no idea whether I am coming or going from week to week! Love that Im pregnant but not "taking" to it as well as I thought I would be.

Hi, I'm due July 30th - feel like I'm on a bit of a roller coaster! Its my first and I keep thinking I've got loads of time to sort things out yet, but time seems to be going so quickly.

For those of you that work, when is a good time for mat leave to start? I want to work as long as possible so I can have more time after baby arrives, but apparently have got quite a few hols that I need to use up before mat leaves starts so may have to take a bit of leave before hand. My head is in a spin!

Sparkly I took a month off before DD arrived and it felt like the right length of time for me. It gave me time to deal with any work queries that popped up in the first week or so, do all the cleaning/nesting stuff, get some pre-birth grooming (pedi and bikini wax - essential!) and then I had about a week or so for relaxing (long lie-ins and lots of sun-drenched reading in the garden, built up a nice tan - DD was born at the end of July).

I do have a couple of friends who gave birth 3-4 weeks before their due dates, so a month would allow for such eventualities!

Hi, I'm due on the 18th July, exactly a year on from my mc. I'm extremely nervous but also excited. I have my scan tomorrow for 20 weeks and still am in shock that im only halfway through being pregnant. Seems like a lifetime already Grin

RugbyWidow7 · 02/03/2011 20:23

Hello - I'm due 21 August and can't wait!! Starting to feel much more energetic now, thank goodness! Smile The first three months really took their toll. I have my 16 week MW app next week and can't wait to hear the baby's heartbeat. Considering buying a doppler after that.

NotSoPukeyMummy · 02/03/2011 20:26

I heard my baby's heartbeat at my appointment today! Very faint because the little so-and-so was wriggling (midwife could hear it on the doppler) and wriggled right to the back of the uterus.

But still, nice and reassuring.

jenga079 · 02/03/2011 21:04

I'm due 27 July and sooo excited!

And then terrified.

And then excited again.

JimmyChoo17 · 03/03/2011 20:38

sparkly do u have to take your leave before you depart on mat leave? If you can use it during your actual Mat LEave - it allows for some extra income at your normal rate? Im saving mine for that! But if health allows me I will work up until week before due date (Realise this might not be realistic but I have the option to work from home too)

rugbywidow I really recommend the angel sounds doppler cost £16 and picked up from 14 weeks - I would just say make sure you use a better headset than is provided. Am so glad I got mine for those panic days when there are no more scans left :)

Sparkly keep thinking I should be sorting things out and getting arranged...but still not managed it...got another 19 odd weeks to get my butt in gear I suppose! I have started buying bits as I see them in sales to spread cost but am not finding out the sex so its easier as you cant shop too much just yet
