When to book 16 week appointment?

I'm 13.5 weeks now and had my scan about a week ago.
Just wondering when to book 16 week appointment, is it something I need to have booked way in advance or will they send me a time or do I just ring up some time that week?

You're going to tell me all Drs surgeries/ MWs are different now aren't you!

They sent me a letter telling me my scan day and time and what I will need to do to prepare. All doctors are different yes, mine haven't been the most comfortable to talk to!

I just texted my midwife when I was about 14weeks and arranged for her to come over. She told me I needed to contact her to get a 16w appointment.

Mine booked my scan and 16w appointment when I went for booking. At my 16w appointment she's booked 25w and 28w appointments.

My next appointment is always booked when I'm with the MW. Scans are dealt with separately.

I have been told to book mine after the scan.
Mine is GP based. I will have to see a Consultant but will have to wait for that appointment.
