Bleeding, help!

I only found out I was pregnant at 3 months, I am now 4 months and last week had some bleeding and slight pain, I am still bleeding but with no pain, usually occurs in the early morning but is light through-out the day. I am getting increasingly worried about misscarraige. :( Although I had a scan last week and was told everything looks ok. Has anybody else had something like this?

Thanks!

I think you should chat to your midwife or phone your EPU in case you need a check up. The fact that you had a scan last week that was fine is a very good sign. It may be something as non sinister as cervical erosion. This just effects the surface of the cervix making it sensitive and prone to bleeding. I had this in my last pregnancy and now have a bouncing toddler. Ring someone up. I hope everything goes well.

Ok thanks! Is there medicated or an op involved with cervical erosion? Or does it settle?

Its a hormonal thing so it just settles. NO risk to pregnancy. However do talk to someone to check out for sure what your bleeding is caused by. To diagnose cervical erosion I had a torch shone up there at EPU.. lovely! You do need to get it checked out in case something else though. Good luck.

Hi Charleigho, hope all is well. Did you talk to gp/midwife or EPU? Hope the bleeding has calmed down.

I would definately get it checked out.
do you know where your placenta is - is it low near your cervix or high up?

Bleeds can often be agrivated by sex - provoked bleeding is common, but you must check it out.

It will put your mind at rest - even if it turns out to be normal and nothing to worry about, you are obviusly concerned enough to post on here. Get it checked!

Agree with the above, I would get it checked out. Are you Rh negative? If so you should also ask for an anti-D shot - that is routine for any bleeding past 12 weeks of pregnancy. If the bleeding is light it may well be cervical erosion, which is nothing to worry about, but it could also be something more serious - don't try to self-diagnose, please get yourself and baby checked. In all likelihood everything will be all right.

Off to doctors today so hopefully will get some answers. Going for some blood tests and another scan. The bleeding has relaxed a bit while is good news :)

Wish me luck! Thanks for the support x
