I AM 20 WEEKS WENT FOR SCAN, IT LASTED 5 MINS, WAS TOLD ONLY HEAD NEEDED TO B MEASURED AS BABY WAS SO CLEAR??? A PIC WAS TAKEN AS SOON AS U WHERE ABLE TO SEE THE BABY, AND IT WASNT AS CLEAR AS SOME OF THE FOOTAGE THAT WE SAW????

BAICALLY I AM VERY ANGRY AS WITH MY LAST CHILD. E WAS MEASURED THROUGHLY, LENGTH EVERYTHING, AND WE GOT TO CHOOSE DIFFERENT PICS,,,,, I MEAN IS THIS RIGHT???? I AM WONDERING WEATHER TO GO PRIVATE OR NOT???????????? WOT DO U LOT THINK,,

I would have thought that they needed to take measurements from several areas (femur, tummy and head were definately done for me).

As for photos though, we have always just had a case of get what your given... lovely ones for DD, less pleased with the latest ones though

I think you are missing the point of the scan.

generally an abnomly(sp?) scan should be detailed and should take about 10mins+ as flamebat said, measurements are generally taken from the areas listed in her post and then they check for any abnormalities.

as for scan pictures, you get what your given, as long as your babys healthy thats all that matters....
