Can/will an ECV be attempted if you have had a previous section?

Does anyone here have experience of ECV after having a section?

For some reason I've got a feeling I read somewhere that ECV wouldn't be attempted because of the risk of uterine rupture.

Thanks Smile

I had a section with DD1 and have read the same. I asked my midwife (30 weeks with DD2) and she said no, it wouldn't usually be done because of the risk of rupture. I didn't interrogate further on whether by 'not usually' there were some exceptional circumstances when it would be. I don't know whether there's evidence to support that or just the view that it's risky. Possibly there would be some very experienced consultants or midwives who would do it.

Thanks for your message, I'm glad I wasn't imagining it!

I am 31 weeks and while I know the baby has weeks to turn, it has started to prey on my mind a bit.
