Ok so at some point during week 19 my bump has really bumped out

[now regrets worrying about having such a small unoticeable bump for so long]

When I had my 20 scan at 19weeks 2 days...the scan was done in line with belly button and just below and to the side.

But since then I seem to have a tightening/hardening (not painful just like I've eaten waaay too much and overfilled myself type firmness) from just above belly button but stopping before boobs...is this womb increasing in size and things being pushed about? From time to time...usually mornings....I feel really "hard" in that area but the area above public bone is more squishy. I know baby moves up from this area but I suppose Im wondering when does it start moving above the belly button? When I feel like that I find it harder to eat a full meal...Baby also seems to hang out on my left side so that is generally more firm than my left... it seems I have a lopsided baby Confused anyone else seem to have this? You can actually see evidence of this when looking down at myself.

I have a couple of books I follow for my pregnancy and it doesnt really say where the top of your womb is other than at week 15 and from week 32!

(Am now 20W 3Days with my first)

*generally more firm than my right I mean!!

Its just mega unconfortable and nothing can do to ease it which is why I have posted...Im sure there are going to be a lot more uncomfortable times to come but just wondering..

My MW told me that the uterus reaches the belly button at about 24 weeks, but I'm sure that depends a bit on your body shape.

I remember wondering what the top part of my bump was, but like you assumed it was everything else being shoved out of the way. The baby also spent most of its time hanging out on the right hand side until about 25 weeks, which could make my bump look very wierd especially when I was lying down.

I'm now 31+1 and have feet rammed right up under my ribs most of the time!

Glad its not just me! I literally look lopsided some days. the bit between my boobs and bump seems to be the most flabby bit since being pregnant! Npt very flattering :(

Jimmy can remember being exactly the same with DC1. Hardly looked pregnant for ages then my friends where peeing themselves laughing a week later at the big belly that had appeared from nowhere.

Everything you explain seems pretty normal, well judging by my 2 anyway.
