Help! DD stood on my bump

Hi all

I am 13 weeks pg. On Sun morning I was half asleep while DH brought DD in to sleep in our bed. Unfortunately she put her foot right in my bump (not in the middle, kind of half way between the tummy button and my side). I lifted her off straight away but it went in quite deep, IYSWIM.

Since then I haven't had any bleeding or loss of symptoms (although am feeling a bit less sick) but am feeling v. worried something may have happened. Has this happened to anyone else??

Babies are incredibly well cushioned in there and I'm sure your DD has done no harm. If you're worried phone your MW and ask if you can go in for a trace to reassure yourself. They get requests like that all teh time and will be happy to see you.

DS fell on my stomach at 20 weeks all was fine I had to have anti D because I am resus neg but it was all fine.

morning sickness can tend to lessen around 12 weeks so the lack of sickness isn't necessarily a concern. if you are worried then do as sarah says and ring your mw.

Thanks all, it's so nice to get reassurance. :-) Crawling I am O neg and never considered anti-D, ye gods. Will I still need it if there's no bleeding?

Best to be safe than sorry phone MW and ask her if she thinks you should have it.

Thanks C. M/w is only in on Fridays but I phoned NHS direct and they said it was almost certainly fine - will check with her on Fri anyway. Thanks for the messages. :-)

You will need anti D anyway - think it's now one injection at about 24 weeks. Nips a bit but at least it's only one this time. You may need another after the birth if your baby is not O neg.

I take DD swimming and she seems to like using my stomach as a foot hold - it's taken a fair few kicks but don't think it will be any problem. I'm 14 weeks.

Does your DD know that you've got a baby in there? We told our DD (aged 2.7) quite early on so that she would be more careful. Of course, she forgets and doesn't really get it, but we remind her regularly and DH tells her off quite sternly if she hurts me - have also had a few elbows/knees/feet in the bump (and the boobs - owwww!).

We are avoiding co-sleeping now.

I'm sure you and the baby will be okay. Take care x

Thanks sausage and, erm pukey. Yes, have told DD about the baby (couldn't wait to tell her) and have been asking her for a while to be careful of mummy's tummy (she is v. elbowy otherwise!) but to be fair she probably couldn't see me properly under the duvet so stepped in the wrong place...
