Hi,

Had a weird feeling that can only be described as being similar to a stich on the upper left side of my belly (28+5) Can still feel movements but not as strong as usual, assuming because the little bean is facing the other way again...
Anyone else had similar?
(oh and feel like I may vomit and moment now...)

I am 16 wks and I have felt a stitch like feeling a couple of times, but usually goes away within 10 mins. On my scan my baby wouldn't stop moving me and my partner have knicknamed it Disco Baby! Grin I can feel slight movement but i suppose it varies. I have read the baby is active if your resting or lying down but 'dozes off' if you up and about!

Good luck & congrats!

I've had a few of those. I'm 18+3 and have the odd day where I get them a lot and then they go away again. All my scans (have had more than the usual due to small bleed) have been fine so far so I'm telling myself not to worry about them.

Apparently they are called round ligament pains and are nothing to worry about. It's just things stretching and moving about! Good luck with everything. xx

Hi I am having these feelings and normally force me to stand stock still where I am until they go away befor walking any further. I asked my midwife about this and she said it is my muscles seperating and essentially ripping apart as my bump gets bigger.

Had these feelings from about 33 weeks.

i've had quite bad stitch on the right side when walking. think it is to do with the ligaments.

Had that those terribly painful stitch-like feelings between weeks 20 - 30, after returning from a hectic work trip. It started when I would walk to work, on the upper left side of bump, then work its way around. The only thing that would stop it was slowing down, sitting, lying, and/or taking the bus! I bought a maternity belt, which I used 3 times, but eventually realised that I just can't walk as quickly as I used to! :)

Have not had the pains in recent months, and am in week 39, so hopefully yours will subside if you slow down a bit and take more breaks.

Hiya!
Thanks so much for the replies everyone, you were indeed right - ligaments and my ribs seperating...apparantly normal but sounds ( and feels) horrible. That and the fact its feet were tucked up under my ribs too - charming!
