Hi I'm 8+3 and had a bug since Friday. I wasn't sure whether to go to the doctors or not? It's not constant so I think i'm holding in enough fluid.

Had a very bad bug when first pregnant with DS so not too worried but that only lasted a day, and this just won't go?

Any thoughts?

I know a lot of people who have had 4-5 day bugs like this, me included; it doesn't seem to be any more severe than any other bug, just of LONG duration. I had similar when pg with DD, and all was fine. However, I think that in your position, I'd want to check with a doctor. I would probably ask to speak to mine on the phone, rather than go in, however. Is that a possibility?

Thanks Mochan - think i will give them a ring in a bit. They are very helpful. I never ever get these types of bugs, the only one i have ever had was when pregnant with DS so its all new to me!

Wondering if it is a bug now, although it was constant first day, its now just once/twice a day.

Will ring GP later/tomorrow, feel like i'm making a fuss though?

It really sounds very similar to the bug I had last week. I couldn't believe it was still going by the end of the week. It had become (mercifully) intermittent, but still vexing and wearing!

You mustn't worry about feeling like you are making a fuss. If something doesn't feel right, esp. when you are pg, try to at least take some advice. If you're worried about bothering your own doctor, why don't you call NHS direct and see what they say?
