im sure a few years back i heard about books, perhaps even 1 in particular that helps tell toddlers you're pregnant.
my daughter was only 7months old when i fell pregnant with my son, i cant remember how or when we told her but she seemed to understand.
she's nearly 5 and is obsessed with babies at the moment, but i dont think our 3 year old son would undederstand or link big belly to baby.
have googled to try and find the books but it just comes up with ideas for telling relatives you're expecting etc-not much use!
i'd be really greatful for any book suggestions

There's an usborne first experiences book - Mr & Mrs Bunn have a baby. It comes as a sticker version as well, currently buy one get one half price in smiths. DS far more interested in the building sites sticker book than the baby book though!

I second 'There's a house...' and 'Mr and Mrs Bunn'.

We also had Tommy's New Sister and India Knight's book, 'The New Baby' but it now causes problems with DS still calling DD 'Poopoo head' Blush

I was also given a book (can't quite remember the name) but something along the line of Zaza's new baby. Only problem is, Zaza is a zebra, so your toddler MIGHT think they are getting a little baby zebra to play with!

zaza's baby bother

theres a house iside my mummy looks fab, am about 2 order it (along with letterland). there r so many other books that look gr8 2 tho, so it was quite hard deciding-once i had decided there's probably no point in buying more than 1!! tho the 1's about the arrival of new baby may also make it in2 my basket (y does baby keep crying/only drink milk...)

THANKYOU :-)

I got 'what's inside your tummy mummy?' out from the library and think it's absolutely fab! I'd tried to buy it, but it seems to be out of stock everywhere. It shows the size of the baby at each stage and was really interesting for my 3 and 7 yr old to read.

Im expecting in 10 days and have bought a few; I hear great things about 'Theres a house....' but was out of stock when I needed it. The one my 2 yo DS really loves is 'Topsy and Tim and the New Baby'.
