Oh my God, the *pressure*!!

DS was back to back and I never felt very much pressure downstairs even just before he was born - I had back pain and found it difficult to lie on my side in bed as the weight of the bump pulled it sideways, but nothing like the feeling of engagement people talk about.

This time - well. I feel like I'm carrying a bowling ball in my pelvis. I keep getting horrible shooting cramps in my inner thighs and when I stand up I feel like my old CS scar is going to burst open(yikes). Does this mean anything? I'm 36 1/2 weeks, DS was born bang on time. I can't imagine going another couple of weeks with this weight in my bits!! Blush Hoping someone will come along with a crystal ball and say it means baby's coming tomorrow.....!

I have never had that feeling. Mine like to stay up high as long as possible. (although DS1 was also back 2 back resulting in CS)

I would be tempted to say that birth is not far away though. Did they say he was enganged at your last MW appt?

Yes, more engaged than DS ever was. And I can feel the head down there which I couldn't with him.

Gasman's here now - that's the last thing I had to get sorted so it can come when it wants now!!

FX that it happens soon for you and you don't feel to uncomfy for too long.

Thanks.

I have an ELCS booked for 39 weeks so at least I have a time limit if I don't go into labour before then!
