I found out yesterday im pregnant, guessing im only two weeks. Last night i had slight tummy ache and felt slightly sick. I still have it now. I have rang nhs direct and am waiting for them to ring back. Cant decide if it is normal, something serious, or im just making myself feel worse by constanting thinking about it! Wonder what im going to be like after a few months when im like this after a day!

yes :d but you will still worry i have every day and im 33 weeks! positive thoughts!!

JiltedJohnsJulie · 26/02/2011 12:49

Like the others have said, unless you have severe pain or blood don't worry. Period like cramps seem to be normal in the first few weeks.

Have a read of this on the nct info centre. It might help to relieve your worries.

freeangel · 26/02/2011 16:43

Thank you, nhs rang me back and i did feel silly! They said its quite common to have period pains etc. But its so weird as i still have tummy ache and my tummy is all tender! But im convinced something is wrong! Need to get a grip and stop googling it! lol

ah poor you, pregnancy is rubbish when every little niggle you have you cant help but think its something serious.
Im sure you are fine, I have stomach pains even now at 28 weeks, I just put it down to the womb growing and stretching to give more room to the growing baby. And in the first few weeks your womb is doing alot of this.
Try not to worry I know its hard and try not to believe everything you read on the internet, it can be the devil when your stressing about something.

freeangel · 26/02/2011 17:17

Thank you all for your replies! Im going to chill out and try to not think about it! I am quite petite so im just hoping that this pain and tenderness is my body having an adjustment getting things ready! :o

freeangel, I have these too. I'm only 5 weeks I reckon, and keep worrying about it as well! I am worrying about everything in fact! I am also tender all over, so while I have no advice, I can at least say I know how you feel! Good luck with your pregnancy.

freeangel · 26/02/2011 17:42

Thanks, glad im not alone with the tenderness! I am starting to chill now! I reckon im due 5th nov, but this may change as i havent been to the doctors yet! You must be a week before me eveansmummy? :o

Yes, due 31st October. I'm trying not to get too excited - it's still very early days. But it's hard to ignore when I feel like crap most of the time!

freeangel · 27/02/2011 09:30

Sorry to hear you feel like crap! Its suppose to pass i hear. My tummy is so much better, but i have so much wind both ends already! Its crazy! Sorry tmi there. Yes it is very exciting, i still have my sticks and i keep looking at them! Really should throw them out Blush

evansmummy · 27/02/2011 21:20

It's not my first, but I didn't have cramps or sickness or anything with the first. Just dreadful fatigue. This time, like you, the gas is terrible! Poor dh!! Had cramps again this evening, but took paracetamol and thye calmed down. But the wind! OMG, it's dreadful!

freeangel · 04/03/2011 18:11

I still have the odd tummy ache, but think its more nausea now! Also the wind is better, but am now getting a little constipated! Sorry tmi!

No, don't apologise, it's good to have someone to share with! Haven't ventured much further in the pregnancy boards as I am a sporadic poster at best and would no way keep up with some of the 'due in...' groups that are on here!

Glad to hear your aches have gone. Still getting mine, every day, but I have been taking paracetamol and they go. Still windy here though! Time seems to slow down for me in pregnancy - I just want it to be over and to see our healthy bubba...

freeangel · 04/03/2011 19:26

yes theres only so much info i can tell my dh! Shame you still have yours! Yes time is very slow at the moment, i am wishing the next two months away till my scan. Im attempting the nov thread but i will lose the plot with it at some point!

Hello, I'm about 5 weeks too and seem to get quite a bit of cramping, esp between 4 and 6am - very annoying and unnerving. But reading this thread has made me feel alot better, than you :-) Does anyone else have certain times of the day when it occurs more?

stripeykelly · 05/03/2011 06:11

Sorry, that was meant to say thank you :) Bl*y iPhones!!

freeangel · 05/03/2011 09:52

Ha ha, i have heard iphones have auto correct, it could of been worse!! lol No, mine is more hit and miss now if that makes sense? I will mention it when i see the doctor and mw, i think it is quite common! Congratulations stripeykelly

So glad to see this message on here. Was going to post the same thing myself. 5 wks 4days pregnant with 4th child. Have horrible cramps or just a dull ache every single day. Panicking like hell that i will lose my baby :( Don't remember having tummyache with any of the others. Plus often get pains down there!! What is wrong with me???
I keep thinking i have had 3 babies so my uterus should be pretty stretched so surely they can't be strtching pains??
Think i may be driving myself insane :( xxxx

freeangel · 05/03/2011 13:35

Hiya, welcome and congratulations kimmie30 Im glad i put this post up too, as we can have the tummy ache club and not suffer alone wondering what is wrong! I was ever so concerned as this is my first baby, and wondered what was going on! Being pregnant is so lovely and scary! I do wonder what each pain is though!

stripeymummy · 05/03/2011 17:04

Thank you freeangel, and congratulations to you too! Spoke to the GP about it yesterday, and he seemed to be very relaxed about it, he thought it was pretty normal. This is my first too, and I find just not knowing what to expect really annoying - goes against my control-freakery!! Am planning to tell my mum early just so I can pick her brains, and I'm not just whittering at my DH :o

Now I'll have to come to terms with having no lovely red wine and smelly cheese - sob :(

Good luck, and let us know how it goes, and if it eases off? x

freeangel · 05/03/2011 17:10

Thanks, thats good then! I have been having more pains in my left and or right groin, i guess like cramps and tummy ache today. grrrr Ooooh, im a bit of a control freak, well i like to know whats going on and it is very weird! I have the doctors on wed and have a list of questions already!

I had already quit drinking, turns out it was the same time as conception i think! Yes shame re the cheese as i had camberet cheese in jan and it was delicious!

Have you joined the nov baby thread! Im on there but its very long already!

OP posts:
evansmummy · 06/03/2011 09:15

Yesterday was my first day without any cramps! I am so pleased, it is really worrying having pains, even if you know they're apparently normal.

Hi to all the new posters, and congratulations! Hope you have a great pregnancy.

freeangel · 06/03/2011 16:51

Aww thats really good, im pleased for you. I have cramps today, i am slightly worried but i just need to get a grip and not stress over it!

Can you phone your GP just to get some reassurance? Mine does telephone consultations, maybe that would help just to stop your worrying?
