Hi everyone,

Hope all is well. My first post - yay!

I?ve had the most embarrassing thing happen ever today, and now I've finally stopped blushing and calmed down I thought I'd share it - probably a bit TMI, but hope it gives you a giggle!

I overslept this morning and woke up about 45 minutes later than I should have done and was frantically running around the house trying to get ready for work... and just as I was getting in the car and finally about to leave, grrr, I needed the toilet, but didn?t have time to go (I suffer from constipation and it takes a long time!)

Anyway - this is the TMI part, I finally decide to go to toilet at work (which I hate!) but I have the worst constipation ever? and get blush stuck halfway! There's no movement either way, and I sit there pushing, and then straining, fidgeting on the seat, leaning forwards and backwards, standing up, sitting down, times flying by, nothing will move and I can't leave the toilet!

After 20 minutes, I still couldn't go and people kept coming in and using the cubicles on either side of mine, making me even more stressed and unable to try until they had left. I could have died with embarrassment!!! When I was finally able to stop trying and leave (without going!!!) I found out that I'd been in there for 45 minutes!

The joys of pregnancy - and I still haven?t been - anyway, now I have gotten over my acute embarrassment I thought I'd share it with you and have a good giggle about it.

Prunes, prunes, prunes ..... They helped me. I bought packets of the semi dried ones from supermarket and ate them regularly till things got a bit easier!

TittyBojangles · 26/02/2011 11:10

Get some prunes/dried apricots etc down your neck girl :)

iwilldothis · 26/02/2011 11:40

yes, prunes & apricots....and are you drinking enough water? That'll help keep things moving for you!

Hopandpop · 26/02/2011 12:32

I get it bad too, especially if i have been sleeping on my back. 36 weeks pregnant and not looking forward to the after birth constipation! Last time it was nearly a week of trying before I bought some sterile gloves to help myself along!!!!! The relief far outweighed the embarrassment believe me!

beccy if its any consolation i had a similar story with a much worse ending....finally resorted to the use of lactulose (it does really help clear things out to be honest and have been a lot better since) and well, basically it caused a major incident in the toilet requiring some very strong chemicals from the hardware store. my poor husband, it was a disgrace and i think has left a small but permanent dent in our maarriage Blush
