I've been having pains since 8:30pm, just on and off and like medium bad period pain, they are not at all regular and ease when I'm up and about and are worst when I'm lying down but I also feel some pressure....TMI alert.....but it feels like I need to do a big poo and when I go to the toilet nothing comes......except maybe some wind.......sorry, embarrassed face!!.........could it be labour or could I be way off??? BTW I'll be 37 weeks on Tuesday.

It sounds possible. A bit like it was with me anyway. But it could also be that the baby has just descended and that you're experiencing Braxton Hicks.

If I was you I'd relax until the morning and if you're still unsure ring your MW and just get some advice.

I am not by nature a panicker but in times such as these it's far better to be safe!

see what happens through the night. they might just ease off and stop. i had this a few times with both mine.

Well it wasn't labour, I'm still here, was having pains on and off during the night, and now it feels like my muscles are all achy, could baby have been moving into position more maybe???

am also 37 weeks on tuesday, and have been having the exact same thing! I had a consultants appointment the other day, so asked him about this, and he seemed to think that baby moving into place and getting ready would cause this kind of pain. Its horrible though thinking evry ache and pain could be the start of it! This will be my first baby, so no idea what to expect really! Good luck with everything though! :)
