I'm 28 weeks pregnant with no 2 on Thursday. Last night after going to the loo I noticed a little red blood on the loo paper (I know TMI) thought it might be from DP and I having sex Sunday night so not too worried.

However this morning theres been a little bit more blood this time dark red/brown like the end of a period.

Wondering if I should phone midwife, I have a booking in appt tomorrow morning at 9 am should I wait? Baby seems to be moving ok (I think). Oh the reason I'm having a booking in appt as have moved areas so even though I've had an antenatal appt here they want me to go through the whole booking in thing again so I'm on their paperwork.

Don't know Sweetkitty, sorry!
I bled with DD quite badly and it was bright red. Think the theory is, if it's red it's new blood, if its brown its old blood.

Defo ring your midwife if you are concerned, she will be able to put your mind at ease if there is nothing to worry about.

I would definitely phone your midwife - even if it's to put your mind at rest. I had a low lying placenta and was told to watch out for bleeding between 28 - 32 weeks (I'm 34 weeks now)and to call right away if I had any. I think it's more of a precautionary thing but it's better to phone than sit and worry.

hello sweetkitty and congrats!
i think its always best to phone midwife/be seen

i had a bit of bleed around this time and went in for a check, all fine and they did an extra scan

hope all goes well

SK, Did you ring your midwife?

Springchicken · 20/10/2005 11:14

Everything OK Sweetkitty ?

sweetkitty · 20/10/2005 11:18

Sorry SC forgot about the thread, thanks for asking.

Saw midwife yesterday and she said a little bleeding after sex is nothing to worry about, she felt baby and listened to heartbeat and everything was OK.

Oh good! I was starting to worry.
Glad eveyrhting is OK.

I wouldn't have known about the bleeding after sex as at first DP was too scared to come anywhere near me and then I was too tired

Know what you mean I've got bad sacro-iliac pain and turning in bed is difficult nevermind anything else!

Nightmare. I had mild SPD with DD and it was awful. The pain was agonising just turning in bed

I've had it twice now both from 15 weeks with both my girls (feels so funny saying that need to start saying DD1 and DD2 soon) bit harder when you have a maniac 15 month old running around.

Couldn't imagine it with DD atm, she is a little minx! Absolutetly love it now she is getting bigger and more character etc but think i would be wreck being pregnant too.

sweetkitty · 20/10/2005 11:44

Think they are all like that at this age, my DD is such a little madam if she doesn't get her own way like if you take something off her she's not allowed.

Know what you mean I much prefer her at this age than a baby they are so funny, I bought DD a little pink fluffy dog scarf and matching tiny handbag this morning and she's running around so chuffed with them. I can't imagine having another little baby now.
