I'm worried sick. Had ectopic 4 years ago, then healthy DD 2 yrs ago. 6wks pg now and have right shoulder tip pain so alarm bells are ringing in my head.... the thing is I'm feeling so so so so nauseous (a good sign, right?) , can hardly eat, and have no other symptoms of ectopic. And it's not just the shoulder is sore, the whole arm is sore.....So surely I just lifted something heavy DD awkwardly or slept funny on it and pulled muscles?? I've been to GP (last wk) and he has referred me for an early scan because of my history, but the hospital have not yet contacted me for it. I really want to ring them up to speed up the process just to (hopefully) give me peace of mind, but I can't go today. Nobody near us here knows of the pg yet so can't ask them to babysit, I've got an asda delivery arriving today so have to be home for it, DH is so very busy and stressed out at work, we're supposed to be going out to friends for dinner tonight (already postponed it 3 times!)......so please please please tell me that everything is going to be ok because I'm so nauseous it couldn't possible be another ectopic. :(

poor thing. i don't know anything about ectopics but all i can say is try and take it easy. put a dvd on for your dd and rest up. do you have enough food in the house? do you think you could keep something down? it would help with the nausea if you could. apples used to help me.

can you let someone know so that you do have a bit of help? no point suffering through this on your own.

it's bloody awful. my sympathies.

thank you, warthog. I've managed some toast this morning, and keeping it down. Good point about telling someone so I have a bit of help...

Don't know if this is relevant.... I'm 16 weeks pregnant now, and since finding out I was pregnant have had a really sore upper left arm, sort of feels like a cross between the feeling when you sleep funny and get a numbness/soreness and muscle pain. I have been wondering if it is a symptom of the pregnancy as I have not had something like this before last so long, and I can't think of anytime I might have pulled a muscle.

So I have got a similar arm pain symptom and I have had my 12 week scan and all is fine with baby...hope this might go some way to reassure you... and hope all is well for you (I can sympathise with the sickness too) x

Just back from EPAU. Good news is it's not ectopic. Saw yolk sac in the womb. But, no fetal pole nor heartbeat yet, so got appointment in 2 wks again. So it's a waiting game now.....

So pleased for you so far iwilldothis, the signs are looking good. It's still so early days so keep positive and good luck for the next 2 wks wait. Keep us informed.
