Hi ladies

I didnt used to mind fish before pregnancy however unless its battered (which is not healthy) there is just no way I want to - or can force myself to eat it!

So is anyone taking Omega 3 supplements? If so where and what dosage?

I take pregnacare currently but am told this doesnt contain it, only preg plus. I have about 6 months supply left to chomp so wont be buying anymore just yet!

I looked on some in Asda and its one of these - consult your GP first recommendations but I dont really want to book (yet another) appointment or call MW just for this...

Im currently 19W4D in the UK.

I am but I'm taking the pregnacare omega 3 capsules as I think normal fish oil capsules can contain high levels of vitamin A, which pg women are meant to avoid. The ones I get are in a dual pack with pregnacare vits which isn't particularly helpful for you, but I'm sure some manufacturers must make pg safe capsules you can buy seperately!

I'm with you - the only fish I can currently stand to be in the same room as is tinned tuna Smile

See I love tinned tuna but I just cant eat it - its a sure fire way to make me throw up! Poor little bubs needs omega 3 but little point in me eating then chucking it straight up (TMI!)

It's in some nuts and seeds I think too - maybe you could add those to your cereal in the mornings and switch to one of those really seedy breads?

i take fish oils but not every day, about 3-4 times per week (whenever i do not forget)... i do eat plenty of oily fish, eggs and flax seed oil, though...

JC, i am hearing you on not eating fish, usually really like it but with the constant morning sickness, its turning my stomach just thinking about it. DD always likes to go and say hello to the fish on the fish counter in the supermarketConfused Nearly lost my breakfast in sainsburys the other day!

Am not taking any omega 3 at the mo but prob should. I used the sanatogen ones with DD but tried them this time and the aftertaste made me throw up!

Hiya, there are some eggs you can buy with omega 3, I'm sure there are other things with it too but just can't think at the moment. I'm sure others will be along to advise more.
