Whats been your nesting urges?

Hi. Im 34 weeks and I think the nesting has well and truly begun. Im not untidy normally but also dont usually feel the urge to clean every nook and crevice!
I wondered if any of you would like to share your nesting urges (stranger the better in my opinion) so I feel more normal Grin

My main ones so far are:

  1. Washing all baby clothes and then still worrying they arent clean enough, then sorting them all into sizes/ages and folding neatly and putting them all away before getting them all out again and starting again!

2.Cleaning the pram with serious vigour (used for DS1 but in no way dirty) then taking all removable pieces of and washing them, then hoovering them before putting back on!

  1. We have moved back to my parents house for a while and we are sharing a quite small room with the baby and trying to contain all his and our things in the one room. It is now rather crowded in here and I sit for ages each day trying to rearrange things in my head to give us more space and what I keep describing as a 'tranquil space' for the baby. If my back (and belly) allowed for it I would have quite happily of rearranged all my furniture about 50 times by now but instead I sit barking orders at my poor OH and make him do it only to have him rearrange it again the next day Blush

Well thats the main ones I think, please add to the list......

Mine is decorating. I've suddenly decided that our bedroom and living room need wallpapering and all other rooms need painting. My DP is saying yes just for a easy life. This is DC3 for me and never nested before but im liking it :)

Thats the only upside isnt it, Ive sorted stuff out that has needed doing for ages, I went through all my paperwork for the last 7 years and shredded loads of stuff to make room and am seriously considering cleaning the bed slats today Confused

Haha oh i done the paperwork thing and found stuff from 2007 oops but felt so much better after doing it.
Im not at the bed slats stage yet but cant wait to be because love the feeling of it afterwards like ive done something really important.
Im sitting here now thinking that kitchen cupboard needs arranging 'properly' i think i have actually gone crazy.

i have washed my walls and am worried that the bathroom taps are not sparkly enough! This is quite new to me as before now i would have let the house get disgusting and then just got cleaners in to do it for me!

I think it may have something to do with my craving for bleach though.......... i am currently bleaching the kitchen sink and keep wandering in for a sniff Blush

Scouseem - Its terrible isnt it, Im all jittery until I get things done and then feel brilliant afterwards lol its like an addiction! I did the cupboards (infact the whole kitchen) yesterday but said it was just because we were getting a large delivery from Asda and needed to make space - cunning excuse :)

Pettyprudence - Washing the walls is a good one, dont think I could actually get near enough at the moment though. I dont have a craving for bleach but my OH did meet me in the shops the other day to find me sniffing bottles of bleach, my reasoning was I wanted to find the one with the nicest smell, I then wondered why I felt light-headed and had a headache Blush
