9.4 still some brown discharge (sorry)

Good Morning,

I'm 9.4 weeks and had some red blood a week ago. I had a scan at the epu where they found a heatbeat and said i was 9.2 weeks then.

This was confusing as i know we only started trying on xmas eve, i counted myself as 8.4 from LMP on 16/12 on the date of the scan (the 14th).

I was wondering... as we had sex on 24/12 and 26/12 and i think i ov'd around the 26th to the 28th, this would make this day 11 not 14 when i ov'd could this explain the extra 5 days on their count?

does this make any sense? They say the scan is usually accurate but i know we didn't have unprotected sex until the 24th?

Apart from that i'm still having some brown discharge, has anyone else had this throughout their pregnancy? they say it may be a cervical erosion?

thankyou and sorry for being confusing, i don't know hoe to explain it any clearer?

My scan date was two days out from my edd. The scan date couldn't have been right because I know exactly the day I would have conceived. In the end ds made his arrival in between the two dates.

I had some brown discharge at about 8 weeks. Not much but enough to scare the he'll out of me. Everyting worked out well for me.

How all goes well for you too x

hi
i had bleeding, spotting and at the end brownish discharge for 7 weeks!!! i was 5.5 weeks pregnant went shopping and felt something runnig down my legs, so much blood I can't even describe. i had to come back home by bus!!! with bloody trousers! went to a&e, had my scan to confirm m/c and they said everything was fine and I was carrying twins! non id. had bleeding for about a week and was sure I lost them. bleeding changed into spotting, I was scared to go to the toilet. i went on sick leave and was in bed all the time. i had my scan when I was 13 weeks pg, a week before my scan the brownish discharge disapeared and on my scan they said that my babies were perfect and sometimes this happens. today I'm a mum of 3 year old twins :) try to relax and stress free and things will be fine. good luck!

thanks for your replies.

i've just read back my message and can hardly understand it myself!

What i was trying to say was.... would ovulating on day 11 instead of day 14 make a difference in the size of the baby eg a few days over what you thought.

Thanks.

I don't think it makes much of a difference to be a couple of days out, in any case! But I've read that sperm can live for a few days so you might get pregnant a couple of days after having sex... this is from Babyworld website:

What can my partner and I do to improve our chances of conceiving?

To maximise your chances of getting pregnant, have sex frequently throughout your monthly cycle, especially in the first half. 'Sperm can live for three to five days inside the cervix so we recommend having sex every three days to make sure there is a constant supply available to fertilise the egg when it's released,' says Family Planning Association helpline manager Angela Reynolds.

Hope everything's OK, seeing a heartbeat must be a huge relief!
