Clomid break

Hi does anyone know if it's ok to have a break when taking clomid? I have been taking it for 3 months and wanted a 1 month break before taking the next set if tablets. Has anyone ever conceived after doing this?

I've used clomid a few times now & have conceived the month i stopped using it.
My 3mth old was conceived that way too. Used clomid for one month, didn't conceive. Next month didn't use it & got pregnant.
I've found that if i have clomid one month it makes me ovulate earlier for the next few months, so it must stay in my system for a few months.

I'm having a break this month. It must be ok to do as ttc#3 I conceived then MC at 9 weeks and was told by the fertility nurse to have a two-cycle break before going back on the Clomid (which for me was over 6 months!). By the way DS1 is a Clomid baby.

Hi thanks for replying. I used clomid last time and got pregnant first cycle. This time iv just finished my 3rd cycle but nothing hence wanting a break. Also last time I went on a low gi diet which helped control my pcos symptoms after I lost a stone on thus diet, think I need to do this again. I just hope taking a break doesn't ruin my chances!!! Good luck guys.
