I should know better. This is my third time. But I'm at that inbetweeny 15w stage where the sickness has eased, but the proper baby kicking hasn't kicked in and I don't think I am pregnant any more.

I know it's irrational and I know I have felt exactly the same on the other two occasions. Still makes me feel like a freak!

Anyone else? Please?

Ring your midwife - they'll understand and will help put your mind at ease.

Pregnancy seems to enhance the irrationality in all of us, doesn't it?! Or is it just you and me?!

Hugs & Positive, calming vibes! x

I would phone your midwife and maybe you could get to listen to the hearbeat (cant remember at how many weeks you can hear heartbeat with doppler), or maybe a scan, just to put your mind at ease.
(((Hugs))) :)

Thanks. She's coming to my house in a couple of days anyway - don't want to bother her. It's not like I'm in pain or anything.

Am so ungrateful to hate this stage - for once I have some energy and can eat without feeling sick!!!

I'm also 15 weeks (or thereabouts...EDD still uncertain!) and feeling exactly the same. The sickness is subsiding slightly but I can't feel the baby moving yet. I do remember feeling the same last time around.

Don't worry, we'll be feeling our babies kicking us soon enough, just another few weeks!

I'm still waiting for my energy to return though, at least I'm not feeling completely zonked anymore.

PukeyMummy · 20/02/2011 17:09

I think I might have to name-change soon, maybe to "Not-So-PukeyMummy".

captainbarnacle · 24/02/2011 23:36

Any more pg indicators, Not so pukey mummy?! x

I always always feel the same from about 13 weeks to 18/19/baby kicking stage.

This time I didn't feel kicking until about 21 weeks and I felt like a fraud for ages because I felt so well.

You know its highly unlikely there is anything wrong don't you. Ride it out and you will be feeling like shit in no time :)
(30 weeks here and feeling like utter crap)

Xxx

Sorry captainb, was distracted by the $&ing threads about Libya on AIBU and only just seen your question!

(Nice to see you in there too, trying to stand up for common sense. I've given up now.)

Anyway. Back to your question! I think I have felt some slight movement in the past couple of days. Bump seems to feel "right" and I have gagged at a couple of things.

Plus feeling irrationally emotional/hormonal especially when stupid people say thoughtless personal things on AIBU threads! Gah! Grin

captainbarnacle · 25/02/2011 08:53

Aw yes I gave up too esp after someone came and spouted all that carp at you!!

I think I am feeling some proper kicks down there in an evening. When I wake in the morning my bump is quite pushed out too. But that's it! MW on sunday morning so should get to hear heartbeat then which is reassuring. V lucky that all my antenatal appointments are in my livingroom!

I should know better than to go on AIBU 'in my condition' shouldn't I! Wink

Any chance you could hire a doppler until the movements 'kick' in? I had exactly the same terror as you and hired mine from hi-baby for £10 via ebay for the month - kept me sane for that interim period.

captainbarnacle · 25/02/2011 10:48

Thanks - I have a doppler from pg2 but lent it to a friend. Am not really worried, just would be nice to get out of this limbo section of pregnancy asap :)

Yup, I went through that too, I HATE it. It only lasts a few weeks, I promise!

NotSoPukeyMummy · 26/02/2011 08:33

Just wanted to report back that I had to get up with DD (toddler) in the night, had a swig of cold water on returning to bed, lay on my left side and got a few tiny little reassuring kicks in return. Definitely little kicks. I'm currently 16+4.

I've heard that drinking cold water is a good way to provoke movement (anyone else heard that?).

Anyway captain, I hope you start to feel some movement soon!

captainbarnacle · 27/02/2011 10:51

That's brilliant!

MW just left and I heard baby heartbeat :) so feeling a little more pregnant/excited now.

Yay! Happy for you! Am seeing my mw on Weds, hoping to hear the heartbeat then.
