Hi

I guess anyone that is a TMI-a-phobe was put off by the title and is not reading this, but there it is, my boobs feel like they have VD!

I'm 11 weeks pregnant and over the past week my boobs have gone from the usual pregnancy sore to incredibly itchy. So much so that I have obviously been scratching in my sleep and now have a large red area of my right udder i mean boob that looks pretty nasty.

anyone else experienced anything similar? any solutions?!

I had this a lot with my first preg. not so much this time. No idea what causes it other than skin stretching maybe as your boobs grow so maybe a decent moisturiser every night might help?

I posted about this a few weeks back- :) i have this too- am now almost 21 weeks- and have had this since first trimester.

Been to the docs a few times, got hyrdocorsitone, which didnt help, e45, didnt help, got antihistamines (they helped :) ) BUT they make me very drowsy and sluggish

Its so annoying, i just want to get my boobs out and scratch them in the most unopportune places !! Blush

Hey Ilovekittyelise, I too had itchy boobs in my first trimester & up until about 20 weeks (I'm 22 weeks tomorrow). It's completely normal & all to do with hormones, them growing bigger & the increased blood flow supposedly!

I found using moisturiser or stretch mark oil on them each night really helped. Try not to itch too much as you don't want more nasty red bits! :(

Its so annoying, isn't it? I remember having to go to the loo at work just so I could have a good scratch. And sometimes almost running the last few steps home and, as soon as I'd shut the front door, lifting up my top and scratching them. As Wii says, it does pass. My itching stopped around week 20 too by which time my boobs had gone from a B/C cup to a EE cup. I remained a EE cup for the rest of my pregnancy which was a relief as I had wondered how big they were going to get!

Yes Murtette, soooo annoying! I too went to the loo at work to have a good itch Blush & I loved it when it was just me & DP watching tv so I could have a got scratch if I wanted too, he found it hilarious!

22 weeks today & so far I've gone from a D to a DD but may be verging on an E now!

I had this, god it was distracting, Aloe Vera Gel helped soothe them, but it wasn't a cure.
