Hiya I'm 38 weeks tomorrow and I've recently 'dropped'. I've also had a little bit of white/greenish what I expect is mucus plug in my pants yesterday and today. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if it is a sign that labour is on the cards in the next few days/weeks?

Thank you! :)

Is it quite distinct from discharge - will I know?

Mine was more of a pinky colour with DD1 - went into labour the day after it appeared Smile

Mine was pinky clear, much thicker, and almost like a big thick lump - if that's not TMI!! Happened in the evening and went into labour during the night.

If you type 'mucus plug' into Google images it actually has a picture.... (I was worried I wouldn't know too!).

Eurgh, I can't believe someone actually took pictures of theirs and posted them on the web! Have looked, though - needed to know! Feel a bit sick now, but better informed. Am 38+3 and discharge has been getting heavier, but nothing lumpy has come out, so I guess still nothing going on.

I think I lost my last weekend...but it was more brown base. Baby still here..a few contractions pains this morning but nothing since. And I haven't dropped either...

I'm due next week..booo!

The best description I could come up with, is that it looks a bit like aspic, the jelly you get in pork pies and stuff.
