Help please Possible TMI

Hi possible tmi but need reasurrance. Not really bothered with constipation but little sore when last went to loo. Afterwards there was a streak or fresh blood. I am 21 weeks today and would like to know if its safe to ignore this. I have been 3 times since only to wipe and check its not blood from anywhere else. No signs at all. Im fairly sure its nothing to worry about but need some reasurrance. Thanks.

Bright red, fresh blood after constipation, especially when pregnant is most likely piles.

I'd tell your midwife/see the gp tbh. Just to be sure. But I bet it's piles.

Thank you. First time this has happened. I have had a few nightmares about bleeding in pregnancy but first time there has been any blood during waking hours so it does leave me feeling a little uneasy.

Are you sure about where the blood came from? Should have been pretty clear if it was rectal or vaginal bleeding.

When you go to the loo, try not to strain at all, eat plenty of fibre and drink plenty of fluids and if you're having problems, they can prescribe a mild laxative to help.

Im pretty sure it was from behind. Not really panicky but a little shocked. I used to suffer constipation badly before pregnancy but never experienced this.
