31+4 brown discharge and stabbing pain

Hi, first time poster :)
I am 31+4 pregnant and yesterday afternoon, I passed a small blood clot, and since then I have had brown/pinky discharge, but this morning I have also stabbing pains in my fanjo . Have a high anterior placenta and no abdo pain, so don't think it's from placenta. Any body else ever had anything like this?

Think it would be worth ringing up the midwife just to check. I have never had a show or blood tinged discharge but from what you read or hear people saying its worth getting check out
