Unable to keep it down, or to myself

Right - I'm constitutionally unable to lie, and find it pretty difficult to even dissemble. I'm just over 9 weeks pregnant. Quite bad morning sickness. I teach at a university and during a tutorial, I had to run out of the room suddenly. Returned, and felt so flustered, that I told the student in question that I was pregnant. Mostly because I thought I was going to run out of the room again or vomit on the table. I've told my immediate bosses at work, but not the senior people who will have to find my replacement - and would rather leave it till 12 weeks. But now one of the students knows I'm in a fix. I'm an eedjit. Any advice? Just leave it? Tell everyone now?

Personaly i think you should just tell everyone who 'needs to know' - close collegues, students who, as you have mentioned, are likely to notice symptoms ect. I feel 'the cat is out of the bag' already, Lol, just go with it. The word will get round.

I'm just 6 weeks and we were going to keep it a secret for a while - but my guy anounced it to the whole building site he was working on 10 seconds after my call to him so that was the end of discretion for us. He's SO over the moon though bless him....

I am 8 weeks and loads of people know, I too feel grim and people have noticed changes in my behaviour at work, two people have actually asked me outright if I was preggers, one jokingly so I laughed it off and one was my best pal so I just told her! Hubby is a very private person so hates that people know but once you tell wider family (grans, aunties etc) it's hard to keep it quiet as they tell everyone else. And as I keep telling hubby, if anything does go wrong, I'm sure people will be sympathetic and it's prob best they knew anyway so they can treat you with a bit of kindness.
