Hi you probably want to post this in the Conception forum? You'll probably get a few more replies there and meet people in the same boat. There is a CBFM support thread in there and lots of other threads simimilar to this.
If it helps it took myself and DH 3 years of unprotective to conceive and we didn't until I started charting which is like the low tech version of CBFM. I recommend doing the sechs every other day from day 8/9 onwards rather than clustering it round when CBFM says you are peak. Google 'sperm meets egg' its what worked for me!! Good luck :o

I'm 38 - we ttc for 5-6 months - bought the CBFM and fell pregnant the first month using it.
We had sex during the high days (alternate days)and on the first peak day (I had 2 days of that). I think knowing when to do it made us more relaxed and positive about our chances. We felt we were being pro-active rather than just making a guess.
Money well spent - am now 14weeks!
Good luck - I hope you have the same success.

Hi there

If you go onto the trying to conceive theres a support thread for CBFM volume 5 or 6 i think. really lovely bunch of ladies and lots of knowledge and help.

I got pregnant both months of using the CBFM; first month was a chemical pregnancy and the next one im now 10 and a half with crossed fingers!!!

Good luck xxx

Hi! Fell pregnant 3rd month of using it...turns out my peak days were actually 2 days out of when i thought they were.

Got a peak on first cycle, nothing on second (I was also having blood tests and results matched my CBFM) 3rd cycle...Bam!! The result of which is doing somersaults in my belly :)

Good luck!

I used the clearblue monitor and got preggers within two months. age 34, fit (BMI 23-24), good healthy diet, active with plenty of excercise (gym 3-5 times per week..), no history of fertility problems.

best of luck!

I got pregnant using the CBFM on the first month of trying, however first one e ded in mmc. Luckily I tried again and I'm now 38+3 along in my pregnancy. We had sex on all the high and peak days and found the monitor really easy to use. Good luck with ttc xxxx

You won't want to read this, but at 37, having had unprotected sex for years, go to the doctor. Don't mess about wasting time on trying to get your timing right - even the skinflint NHS say that if you've been having unprotected sex for just 6 months without a pregnancy and you're over 35, then you qualify for a referral to a fertility specialist. Given that the single (but not only) biggest factor in fertility is maternal age, please don't waste a minute. You can obviously carry on trying anyway.

I'm 36 and got pregnant first month with CBFM after a year of random trying- sadly didn't work out and mc at almost 6 weeks. Been trying again for last 3 months but so far no luck.
Wondering whether the previous year counts as qualifying for a referral to a specialist or we'll have to have been trying for at least another 6 months? Who knows?

Fingers crossed for you xx

hi, no monitors could track my ovulation. i tried 5 different brands/types produced in 3 different countries. my ovulation was only detected by ultrasound tracking. i conceived without any monitors. all i want to say, do not get disappointed if monitors do not work for you. there is a small percentage of women who are totally fertile and for whom these do not work... good luck!~
