Hi
Bit of an odd one, but had my 20 week scan today and everything is fine with the baby which I'm so happy about, but the sonographer told me she came across a mucinous substance throughout the length of my cervical canal. I'm a bit worried because I have been asked to go back in 2 week so they can have another look at it.
She hasn't really explained what this could mean, or whether it has any significance or not. I've googled it, and come up with nothing. My cervix is closed, but I can't help worrying about it. It is a long shot, but just wondering if anyone has heard of this before or come across this before. She said the colour was also not the right colour of so called 'normal' mucus.

Thanks so much

hi, TMI ALERT TMI ALERT TMI ALERT
im only 11 weeks but very mucousy, some days clear, other days yellow, always lots of it, it comes in spurts, like a huge bit of stretchy goo.
i remember having a lot of discharge during the last few months of my last 2 pregnancies and thinking of it as being like snot, but dont remember getting it this early or like this.
so, anything u discover, i would b interested
good luck (im sure all is well)

Hi
~Thanks for responding - wasn't sure if anyone would! I will definitely let you know in two weeks' time what they say!! Good to know I'm not the only one with this problem!
