Sorry for sounding dim but...i'm Confused

Before I become pregnant, I'd been listing my periods on my Iphone under an app for about 18 months.

So when I found out I was pregnant I 'hint' the pregnant setting and it told me my due date based on my LMP was the 14th Feb. However when I had my scan I was told the 24th Feb.

So which is it...?

This question has bothered me for months only asking now as you can see the date....!!! Hurry up baby as i'd like some Wine Grin

How regular were your periods? If they were irregular or if you had a long (or short, can't remember) luteal phase then that might mean that going by your LMP might not be that accurate. Dating scans are usually more accurate but they can still be a few days out. Also they are only an estimate, anything between 37-42 weeks gestation is considered normal.

My scan date and LMP date are only 2 days apart but who knows what DC2's date is! Good luck, I'm due next week too. I'll race you Grin

Hahaa EauRouge your on...!! Grin

No my periods were pretty much spot on! Dating scan they changed the date from the 26th to the 24th.

Oh who the hell knows, just want 'it' to arrive....!!!

Does the iPhone app take into account the first two weeks when you're not actually pregnant? i.e. pre-conception? With ten days difference it sounds the most likely scenario...and the dating scans are meant to be fairly accurate, aren't they? (says the lady who is due on Saturday according to her scan!).

We don't seem to know on what basis the iphone app works out the due date, whereas you do know that the scan is an in-depth assessment of all the baby's measurements and developments. So go with the scan. Are you by any chance getting a bit bored as you approach D-day? Good luck!
