Hi All,
I am 16+5wks with 2nd and am so longing for a good kick off baby.
I have a doppler as had previous m/c so wanted some re-assurance that everything was ok but thought that 2nd time around I would feel baby move earlier than last time.

At what point did you all feel baby move?

17+2 was the first time I was sure. And then thought in hindsight I'd probably felt it once or twice before but not realised. Not long to wait!

I'm 16+3 and hoping for exactly the same. It's my first though so I'm worried I won't even realise it's a kick when it happens.

15 weeks but that's really early for a first child. Trust me, enjoy the non kicking while it lasts. Nothing like trying to have a coherent conversation while your little extreme cage fighter bruises your internal organs.

And I'm only 21+2.... Ouch!

Teeny weeny twinges at 18 weeks, becoming more definite from 20 or 21.

I'm 16 weeks as well and wondering if each little twinge/fluuter I feel may be baby kicking. I think its just wind though! Smile

14 weeks - sooo early for a first baby! I couldn't believe it! Hope you feel your little footballer soon. :)

i was saying to my OH this morning, i cant wait to feel it cos how do I know its ok? seems like AGES to wait to see it or feel it.

PinguFanatic · 12/02/2011 11:08

People always said to me I would feel my second one earlier, but I actually felt him much later. Also my second one wasn't much of a kicker. I can't remember the exact week, but I know I couldn't feel him kicking when I went for the second scan. (whereas I had been able to feel the first before that point). I think it was around the 20 week mark before I could feel it.

If you want to "encourage" it, you could try drinking a fizzy drink, then lie down somewhere quiet, or a bath. You might be able to feel it then.

I'm 18+3 and desperate to feel that first flutter - i know with first its usually around 18-20 - just kina impatient!! OH has been giving bump pep talks to encourage!! no luck as yet though!!

I didn't feel the baby kick until 22 weeks, if it's any reassurance. I have an anterior placenta, so until the kicks were really strong, I just couldn't feel them as they were being muffled.
