Hi everyone
I'm 34+4 with DC2 and was induced because of pre-eclampsia with DS, so am being monitored closely now.
2 weeks ago my BP was 110/68 and today it was 130/78 with slight trace protein in urine. MW wrote urine neg on notes and seems to think there is no issue.
I'm not so sure as this is what happened last time - my BP crept up in the last 8 weeks of preg, with trace protein and the MWs dismissed it then too.
It is the same MWs (based in Health Centre) again and I'm not convinced - last time I only had infrequent headaches and am getting some now. Mw has just told me symptoms of PE to look for.
i realise that the MWs are generally good at waht they do, but ours seem reluctant to hand over to consultant care or see problems if they do not present 'normally' iyswim.
the pre-eclampsia was only noticed when I went to hosp to give birth as BP was sky-high and was loads of protein in urine, but the build up had been there!
Sorry this is so long and thanks for getting to the end :)

Hmm. My BP rose in the latter part of my pregnancy and one test showed a trace of protein in my urine. I was a lot more concerned than the HCPs and everything turned out fine.

I don't think 130/78 is all that high tbh. But I totally understand your concern given your history. But presumably the HCPs are aware of your history given that you're being monitored so closely.

How frequently is your BP being monitored? Can you self refer to a day unit?
