Heart rate at early scan

I'm new here - just been lurking as had mmc in November and feeling fragile. - Am 7 weeks today and had a scan on monday at 6+5 and the heart rate was 122bpm. No one said anything was wrong at all - they said measurements were in line with menstrual dates and next scan at 12 weeks. I have googled and the heart rate seems a little low - am fearing another mmc at 12 weeks now. Has anyone had a scan at a similar time/ Not sure whether to pay for another scan as am so going crazy with worry.

Had 2 internal scans before my 12 week scan for various reasons but they never even looked at the heart rate on either one - just confirmed it was beating. In fact I'm due for my 10th scan of this pregnancy in 2 weeks (when I'll be 36 weeks) and they never even started mentioning bpm until I was past 28 weeks.
Just found a site called ob-ultrasound.net which contains a lot of info but does state that between 5-8 weeks a bpm of less than 90 could be related to misscarriage and that the heart rate does increase during the first months of pregnancy, so don't worry the rates you are seeing when you google are for later on.
I'm sure all will be fine.

I live in America and it is common practice to get a scan from 7-10 weeks to confirm that a pregnancy is viable. I am 13 weeks with DC#2 and had my first scan at 6+1 and had a heart beat of 124. This is GREAT news! The risk of mc never goes away, but once a strong heartbeat is detected it goes way down. I had a mmc with my first pregnancy, so I know it is hard to enjoy your pregnancy, but it sounds like everything is progressing just as it should. Try and relax and congratulations!!

Oh, I meant to add that I had another scan at 8 weeks and the heart rate had jumped to 180. It was probably on the low side because you are early on. As you progress, so will the heartbeat. Some scans that early no heartbeat is detected at all, and things are still ok. HTH
