Anything that appears to work, does so because it was about to happen anyway. You can do the curry/sex/pineapple etc things if you like, but if your body's not ready to go into labour, it won't.

Acupuncture worked for me, but like the previous poster said, I think they come when they're ready. Good luck!

My waters broke with DS2 half an hour after eating a very hot curry. He was born 12hrs later.

I was however a week overdue and so chances are it was about to happen anyway!

Yep, I agree that baby will just come when it's ready! I sympathise, I've got 10 days to go until my EDD and I am heartily sick of not being able to put my own shoes on. I am doing various things to try and get things moving but it's all psychological really Grin

If you want to feel like you're doing something then you could take a long walk every day and then soak in the bath with some clary sage oil. It may do bugger all but it smells nice (it's strong though!) and it'll do you good to exercise and then relax.

Believe me, Ive tried everything to get this baby out
If they dont wanna come then they wont...
Best thing to do is be as relaxed as possible.
If you are hyper and have alot of adreniline, it slows down the labour process

Acupressure points in the feet and hands can help things along. But he/she will turn up when they're ready!! I feel your frustration, we were ten days over.

I agree with everyone else, baby will come when they are ready. My waters broke at 35weeks due to me having too much water and my DD just wasn't ready so ended up having a emergency c section were she was still swimming around and the doctors said she would of never came out otherwise. I know its hard at the end but just relax and baby will come when there nicely cooked and ready to come out of the oven.
