Hi! I thought I'd better start a new thread now because it might get busy tomorrow morning and I don't want to lose you all Grin

I didn't know about the limit. I'm still completely humbled that I've had so many well-wishers Smile, so I feel a little self conscious. Although I think we've all been led down this path by the baby somewhat!

Am completely knackered tonight so will say goodnight and will endeavour to keep you posted on happenings tomorrow.

Thanks once again for keeping me company xxx

Hello, no news yet Grin. I'm knackered already though!

After having a Cervidil in all night, and experiencing contractions and a show, I was checked this morning - zilch. No change to the cervix at all.

I'm now back on the tablet as the Cervidil was getting washed down with the leaky fluid and oooooh, getting some pains as I write. It could well be tomorrow before anything really exciting happens though. I have started to get pain across the bottom of my belly and it's peaking every now then. If this is just the start I'm thinking Hmm about what is to come.

I need to concentrate on the baby more because s/he's going to get lost in my thoughts about the pain and discomfort and tiredness. The monitor has been on non stop and you end up hearing a noise and not a heartbeat, if that makes sense. We didn't get much sleep at all ( DP is staying to the end now) because I had to be on the monitor all night and kept fidgeting so it was noisy and the nurse had to keep coming in to rearrange the sensor and so on. I'm a bit teary in all honesty.

Sorry there's nothing exciting to report! It's very boring today and time is dragging. Hope Pebble is ok with being squeezed in there Smile

Aww the waiting and lack of sleep is the pits Sad Massive ((hugs)) it'll all be worth it in the end to see pebble in the flesh x

duchesse · 10/02/2011 17:14

southsea- please don't beat yourself up about losing sight of the baby in the discomfort- that is completely normal! And all forgotten the moment you have your baby in your arms. And thank you so much for thinking of us internets at this time.

And Good Luck!

MrsDrOwenHunt · 10/02/2011 17:16

aww southsea remember the monitor feeling well, remember seeing on her before, big kisses (ps are the docs as fit as on greys?)

DancingThroughLife · 10/02/2011 17:17

It's exciting just to hear from you Southsea, even if you don't think so. The waiting game is a complete arse though. It will be totally worth it though, I just hope you find something to occupy you in the meantime.

Hugs from me too Smile

ohboob · 10/02/2011 17:18

You have a gazillion women virtually holding your hand. Remember that when you're feeling teary.

Fingers crossed it gets going soon! So exciting

Sparklies · 10/02/2011 17:26

DEFINITELY normal to forget about the baby, as crazy as it sounds given it's, well, the whole point of birth! I remember suddenly remembering mine about halfway through my first labour and thinking "oops!"

Trust me once they're out they won't let you forget 'em.. and the one of the best bits is how all the pain just suddenly stops, just like that!

Hope things get underway properly for you soon :)

Capreece · 10/02/2011 17:29

What she said! :-)

Capreece · 10/02/2011 17:30

(X post, I was echoing Sparklies) :-)

loueytb3 · 10/02/2011 17:35

Hang in there Southsea. I'm guessing pebble is just too happy in there at the moment, pre-term inductions can be tricky. Can you ask for a sleeping pill if you are feeling really knackered - a few hours of sleep will definitely help.

emoo777 · 10/02/2011 17:37

Don't apologise! It sounds like you are in labour and that is realy exciting. It won't be long (compared to how long you have had to wait already) and when you hold your gorgeous baby you will feel amazing!!

Oh yeah, and remember you can always ask for pain relief...

preghead · 10/02/2011 17:40

All normal!! Hang in there, you are so nearly there x

Louii · 10/02/2011 17:45

Oh things are starting to happen, I had to get induced early, not much fun.
Sending positive vibes your way.

bittersweet · 10/02/2011 17:49

Ah, just got home from work and rushed to the computer to see if there was any news... Sounds like you're on the way, after all this time.

I've loved reading your thread and can't wait to hear the outcome. Good luck Southsea, you'll soon be hugging Southsea Jnr.

going · 10/02/2011 18:00

Really eciting to hear things are moving forward. As others as said however odd it seems it's easy to forget you are having a baby. I felt quite shocked when I delivered my first to see a real life baby!

comewhinewithme · 10/02/2011 18:02

Good Luck SS xx.

Figgyrolls · 10/02/2011 18:07

Can't wait to see these piccies when they arrive!!!
Good and luck remember to BREATHE

Bicnod · 10/02/2011 18:16

Hang in there - sounds like you're doing brilliantly.

Can't wait to hear about Pebble's arrival :)

kampakat · 10/02/2011 18:32

Hi Southsea, sorry to hear it's all getting a bit frustrating...even more time for pebble to cook...it's all good!
