Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Yes, it is vile. You aren't alone. Mine are all lumpy and bumpy, third baby. I put a thread up about it a while ago and it seems I have vulva varicose veins or some such hideosity. Apparently everything settles down again afterwards, although someone told me that it isn't immediate and you have a kind of old man scrotesack for a while. Oh the joys of motherhood!
Use a nice fat pad to relieve pressure while swollen.

Mine too, second pregnancy for me as well. There was a thread about this just the other day, you are definitely not alone! Ew @ old man scrote sack. There's no dignity in pregnancy and birth Grin

Me too in third pregnancy. It honestly goes after delivery. You just have to deal with it till u pop. It's crap.

Ps - I was told to pack my pants with raw grated potato. In desperation I tried it . DON'T. I lasted 10 minutes and my knickers got some weird black staining that didn't wash out.

tinfoilhat · 07/02/2011 23:21

Yep, me too. Second pregnancy, currently 27 weeks. It was actually starting to scare me this morning so thank goodness I now know I'm not alone with my freaky undercarriage!
Lol at old man scrote sack and raw grated potato...!

So happy to see this - thought I was alone! Is a very odd feeling, can't wait until baby comes out and all will be well. I find sitting on a swiss ball and doing pelvic floors helps a bit.

flootshoot · 08/02/2011 12:47

Yep, me too - in fact I started an identical thread a few days ago!!

I'm told it's increased blood flow/hormones/pressure etc. lovely Grin

ecuse · 08/02/2011 12:54

Yep. Had a quick squint and couldn't anything that looked like varicose veins but, to be honest, it's a bit of a stretch to see down there at the mo. Whatever, they've been big and sort of 'puffed up' for ages (now 30 weeks)

ThatllDoPig · 08/02/2011 13:09

Grin at potato pants! Hilarious!

SillyCalamari · 08/02/2011 21:27

I had this when pregnant with my son, especially just after sex. Everything went back to normal after the birth, no problems now!
Good luck!

PipPipPip · 08/02/2011 21:50

Was trying to read the 'raw grated potato' bit to my partner, but was laughing so much I couldn't get the words out. Oh, I can just imagine doing something like that myself!!

mandy1978 · 09/02/2011 11:36
