blood tests at 28 weeks ???

ive just read on another website that "you may be offered blood tests again at 28 weeks" to check for antibodies and other things that may be harmful to your baby. im 28 weeks today baby number two and midwife doesnt want to see me again until im 35 weeks cos im shared care but my concultant not mentioned blood tests either. is anyone getting them?????

I had to have mine done at the hospital, but that was because I was having a glucose test anyway, so they didn't have to do more needles otherwise it would have been with my midwife. i would check it as they usually check iron levels as well later on.

yeah I have to have mine done next week - its to check your iron levels and I think for the Strep B infection - might be worth asking your mw/GP about it.

I had it too at 29 weeks actually, turned out I am anaemic so was worth doing as I was feeling pretty dreadful. Worth looking into, I have a list at the front of my notes which tells me what I should have at what weeks. This is my fourth too and I have hardly been seen at all, nothing from 16 weeks until that 28/29 weeks, maybe you had something more recently?
