Stretchmarks questions questions questions

Hi Ladies,

I had my beautiful daughter 7 weeks ago, I had no stretchmarks all the way through pregnancy and some appeared afterwards.. they are red/purple.. I didn't even know what colour stretchmarks were..

Any idea if they stay red/purple or do they go clear?

Any way of reducing them or is this it for good?

THey are quite sore also (I had an emcs), does that get better?

Yep they will fade to silver and should stop being sore too.

You can't ever totally get rid of them as essentially they are scars but you can improve their appearance with lotions and potions like Bio Oil etc. My favourite is Phyta Lotion - it's more of a moisturiser than an oil and it's all natural and does seem to help.

oh thanks ladies, such good news that they fade!! don't really mind them so much if they are going to fade.. it's all worth it a million times over though

how long does it take for them to fade like a few years or a few months?

They will have improved a lot in a few months, although you may find that the skin across the whole area looks kind of wrinkly!
