40 weeks plus 3 days overdue

And Im miserable.
Wanted to ask if anyone is checked by their midwife to see how dilated they yet?
I havent been checked once
Booked in for Stretch and Sweep next Wednesday :(

I'm 40 weeks on Tuesday, has Stretch & Sweep yesterday, (being 40 years they wanted to get things going earlier!) they told me my " cervix was favourable" at 1-2 cms dilated (sorry if TMI )but after a night of slightly achey braxton hicks and a show this morning things seem to have gone quiet!! The wait is SO frustrating, patience patience ,...we are nearly there!!

40+9 here and having a second sweep today. induction next week if no change.

thoroughly bored, tired and miserable.

didn't have my first sweep until i was 41 weeks though.

40+4 here!

Had mild period-type cramps over the last week or so but that's it- no Braxton Hicks, no show, no waters gone Think baby knows somehow that the weather's crap here and too windy and would rather stay nice and snug inside

Having a sweep on Sunday, so fingers crossed that might get things moving...

I know people mean well and are excited but also sick of endless texts and phone calls asking "any movement?/ any sign?/ STILL nothing then?"

Aaaargh, shoot me now!

I'm 40 & 6 days now,had to push but had a sweep on tues where she said I was 1cm dilated but that common with 3rds and that also my cervix wasnt very long as she touched the babys head.
Got another sweep booked for tomorrow.
I know what you mean I've told people I'll be in touch as soon as something happens.

Its really frustrating now and I'm a bit worried as my last boy was a day late and weighed 8lbs 10 oz whats this one going to be!!

40+2 - have had about 30 text messages in the last two days and it is getting really annoying. It's only been two days!!

I had a midwife appointment on due date - baby is not engaged. She offered me a sweep, but as baby isn't engaged and it's still so early, it seemed a little silly.

It's just boring ... and I called my mother who said I was 'one or two' days late. Then she said, 'Oh, but they did a sweep thingie, and used some sort of crochet hook to break the waters...'

Yes, mother, that's induction.

Just wanted to join in and sympathise with you all, I'm 40 weeks today. Also getting quite fed up and frustrated just waiting and fielding all the texts and phone calls asking me what is happening!

Sweep booked for next Friday. I'm drinking the raspberry leaf tea and eating pineapple etc in the hopes that I don't get that far. Fingers crossed for the weekend!

Reflexology? If it's going to work it will work within 24 hours of having it. I had it when 40+0 last time, had dd3 on 40+1! Think it was about £25, may be worth a try??

had reflexology yesterday. was lovely and made me feel fab, but no labour!

Just as well the stretch & sweep didn't work, gone down with a stinking cold, can't breath through my nose, snotty and sore throat AND I can't sleep!!
Thanking my lucky stars I'm not in labour at this moment ...Why after 39+half weeks of healthy pregnancy do I choose this week to get sick?
