Blush

have noticed over the last few days when I wipe after peeing that everything feels kind of 'bulky' down there.....! Got DH to have a look (i can't see for bump), he confirms that the whole area looks swollen. Not itchy or sore though.

WTF???

i've had this for ages! Consultant did a check about 6wks ago and told me it was all perfectly normal...its to do with your hormones, extra blood in the area and pressure of the baby apparently.

It does get quite sore and most evenings Im lying on the sofa with a really cold flannel on my bits! Grin

Glamour is totally out of the window!

ok, glad it's not just me!! Never had this with DS so a bit disconcerting. Pregnancy - the dignity of it eh? Grin

Me too! Feel a bit 'grazed' down there also, hurts when I wipe myself after being to the loo.

Cold flannel here I come!

EauRouge · 04/02/2011 09:11

Yep, me too! Don't look in a mirror, just take my word for it Grin

I've this too so got got DH to take a look and he thinks hes some sort of bloody obstetrics specialist trying to give me all the jargon of why it like it, I just humour him and say "yes dear" Grin

hoolabombshell · 04/02/2011 10:34

Yes, seems all normal and I've had this for a while as well (now 37+5). Also have carpal tunnel syndrome in my wrist so even trying to wipe properly is a glamorous event in itself.

yup I have the swollen bits too, ahh lovely pregnancy details no one wants to scare you with. Isn't pregnancy strange :)

doodledee · 04/02/2011 14:02

I've developed varicose veins on my vulva (delightful!) so am swollen and constant sense of pressure down there. Really hope it all goes back to normal after baby! Don't even want to show hubby really not a pretty site

slowangels1 · 04/02/2011 15:10

I get that too OP

jellyhead188 · 04/02/2011 15:48

yeah I'm nearly 28 weeks and mine are all swollen too! Its another pregnancy joy!!

1Catherine1 · 04/02/2011 16:57

33+5 and mine have been like that for a while now. It's why OH has had to go without sex recently, I don't want to when I'm so uncomfortable. I was actually partly prepared for it though as I read a book that has been surprisingly honest about all the "joys" of pregnancy. It's like a tick list of things I might get to experience Shock

This made me laugh so much. Am 31 weeks and was feeling a bit 'fat and wrong', down there.

So I thought, I'll just finish what I'm doing, then go investigate with a mirror.

Ugh - everything's gone kind of swollen and purple. Bit itchy too, tbh - but I'm def leaking a bit of wee (gah, the shame), so I've probably got the grown-up version of nappy rash or something equally glamorous.

Anyway, if that wasn't enough to contend with, I suddenly felt the most awful stinging pain.

Yup, 'finish what I'm doing' was, in fact, chopping chillies for dinner. Ow.

Even worse than getting chilli in your eye when taking contact lenses out.
