I fell down the stairs when pregnant with DS2.

I'm sure you will be fine, but go and lie down for a while (just to help you calm down as much as anything!)

ellesbelles79 · 04/02/2011 08:40

yes I fell over about 3 wks ago (am coming up to 38wks preg now). I was able to turn when falling so I landed on my side, rather than right on the bump. You will be fine, its more scary than anything else!

If you get any pains today then ring the midwife just in case but baby is protected in the amniotic fluid so them being hurt is quite unlikely. Dont worry - if you have heard heartbeat and baby's movement is normal then it should be fine and dandy xxx

If you have negative blood go to get anti D. Alot of people forget.

I fell at 24 weeks in the snow. Rang midwife helpline, she said not to worry unless I had pains / cramps / bleeding.

thanks everyone, i'm popping to GP later just for reassurance.

Think my MIL must of had a fall when pregnant with DH cos some of the crap he comes out with he must of taken a knock to the head but on a serious note you'll be a-okay your little-un is well protected in there

mattdamonlovesme · 04/02/2011 13:59

I had a fall with dc2, think I was 30 + weeks? Was advised to go and get anti D injection as I am Rhesus negative. They put me on a monitor overnight. Don't want to frighten you, I was more weeks than you and it was a bad fall. I think a phone call to your surgery to be safe is sensible but baby is small at the mo. and very protected.

Take care.
