Hi all,

Just looking to buy a cotbed and have found two that I like at reasonable prices. One is from Online4baby.com and the other from Kiddicare.com.

Has anyone used either of these? I'm tempted to go with Kiddicare as it seems to be more established, but would value feedback.

Thanks!

I have bought several items from Kiddicare and they have been quick to despatch them, and the delivery company are reliable and give you a 1 hour window for delivery, which is awesome. I made a mistake with an order and had to send items back at my own expense (I guess a normal disadvantage of buying from a purely internet based company)but otherwise would highly recommend. Oh yes, and they refunded me very quickly when I sent them back.

Not Kiddicare! I am going through hell with them at the mo. The general consensus seems to be that they are good at taking your money and delivering the goods, but if something goes wrong, an absolute hassle to talk to, let alone get anything done about it.

Be careful - I thought Kiddicare had a great rep but there are lots of threads on here if you search. Seems like lots of problems have been reported recently with mixed up orders and big problems with arranging returns/repairs to faulty goods.

They prefer to only communicate via email and if you really want to ring, it's a premium rate number.

Argh, this is a minefield! Thanks for the feedback so far, will delve deeper...

Have used kiddicare a number of times never had a problem. Also means I don't have any experience of their customer services.

Nicolamarriott · 01/07/2013 21:42

Online4baby are a nightmare. I will never use them again!!!!!! Sold me a parasol that fell to pieces on second use and suggested I just buy another one when I complained. Disgusting.

ForTheLoveOfSocks · 01/07/2013 22:06

I've used online4baby with no problems.

Have you thought about Ikea? I'm getting a cot bed and mattress for around £100

Sanch1 · 01/07/2013 22:27

We've bought our travel system and cotbed from Kiddicare and they were great! Made us up a bespoke package on the travel system as they didnt have exactly what we wanted and gave us a great deal. The cotbed was damaged when it arrived but they collected it no problem and dispatched a new one within a couple days. What others say about prompt next day delivery etc I'd definately recommend them.

Sanch1 · 01/07/2013 22:28

And I've always rang them, there is a normal number on their site, and theyve been fab and helpful on the phone.

There are always good and bad stories about all companies, I'd go with the product that you prefer.

Hi,

I am experiencing an issue at the moment. I bought a travel system from them (Obaby chase 4 wheeler travel system including car seat). I have found a problem with the adapter for the car seat and one of the buttons of the apron. They are sending me another apron for me but they are making issues for the adapter. Let me explain my issue - adapter got stuck into the chassis and I couldn't release it. So I called the customer care and they agreed me to take the product back in a condition that if some technical/manufacturing issues happened with the product, they will re deliver the product with their expense and if not I will have to pay the re delivery charge. I sent back the item. They inspected the adapter and phoned me back saying the lever needs to push downside to release it. They have send me a video (their technical manager made it) as well how to release the adapter from the chassis. From the video, it is clearly see that the lever on the adapter needs to push down side (they are advising me to do that way as well). But in the product handbook and the design (little curve shape to release it pulling towards us) of the adapter says it should do pull upside.

So whose problem is this? I know its only a little issue - just need to push down instead of pull up) But is it not a manufacturing/technical issue?

I am not saying they are horrible and not to do business with them etc but I would say it if I don't get a good customer care.
