anyone else just not FEEL pregnant

im nearly 16 weeks and I just dont feel pregnant apart from being exhausted or faint sometimes. Yes i have a belly but not really sure i couldnt blame that on all the cake Wink
im totally convinced that i have felt the baby kick but at this stage im not really sure.

I just dont feel anything, (apart from spotty ;)) and am totaly convinced that the baby will no longer be alive at the 20 week scan, altho I know that is just paranoia as I thought that about the 12 week scan too.

Not at the moment as at 28 weeks I'm getting too big and grumpy to not notice, but I definitely felt that way at 16 weeks. My full-time nausea had cleared up, 99 people out of a 100 would have said fat not pregnant (the one being my DH who wouldn't have dared say fat) and most of the times I thought I was feeling the baby move it turned out I just needed to fart Blush although I definitely felt it turn over a couple of times. This was also accompanied by worry about the 20 week scan.

The only reassurance I can give is that this does seem to be a totally normal inbetween phase of pregnancy that a lot women go through. It's totally normal to worry a bit at this stage but try not to let it get you down too much.

I am 16 w 4 days and I don't feel pregnant. Despite I'm still being sick, tiredness, sore boobs in the cold and a little hard bump....I too panic that my scan will show up aproblem

I went fully public yesterday and I'm so glad I didd as made it feel more real and have 5 friends who are pregnant that I hadno idea about!! It's nice to be able to talk to them about it. Everyone worries the same.

I have had 4 scans already and worry before each one.

I bought a doppler this week so I can hear the heartbeat before the baby really starts to kick some sense into me!

I'm forcing myself to believe it andthats made me feel miles happier. But come my 20 week scan I'll be worrying again xxx

I'm 17wks today and feel exactly the same.
No Bump, Just look fat and have convinced myself also that something might have happened to baby come the 20 wk scan.

I've had 4 scans also so far the last one was at 13wks so this is the longest I've gone with out seeing the progression of our little bobbet. Maybe this is why I feel this way.

I'm just not sure, everyhting seems to have slowed down a bit. Like Jimmy I'm terribly tired and have really sore boobs. On top f that I'm not sleeping very well at all and I can;t get comfortable whether I'm in bed or sat down cos y hips hurt.

So although I'm pretty sure all these symptoms point to the fact that bobbet is still cooking in there I cant help but worry.

Maybe a Doppler is a good idea Jimmy . Knowing me though I'd probably worry that I'd just picked up my pulse LOL Grin

Hopefully it will pass - just wanted you to know your not alone

I lost a it of weight due to being sick so my bup is more prominent than it was when I just had my fatty insulation!! I could still be accused of being fat rather than pregnant and bump is small.

I think we all just worry...I think it will continue for the next 18 years too!!!!!

I'll let you know how I get on with Doppler. I have ordered it with the realization I won't pick it up every day during earlier weeks and the dr showed me how to Tell difference between bodily fluids whooshing around, my pulse and then baby's heartbeat. Cost £16 and was recommended on here and other sites. I've promised to review it when it arrives so I'll let u know!

I hate that after 20 weeks that's it...no more scans unless u go private. Hopefully I'll have much more movement to alert me then.

Oh god sore boobs...don't u just hate that!!!

I'm 17 weeks too and also don't feel pg! All the early symptoms have passed and it just looks like I'm a bit fatter than usual. I'm actually enjoying feeling better after the nausea, but would quite like a proper bump and to look obviously pg rather than fat Grin

Luckily I'm not anxious about the 20 week scan (yet) - I've convinced myself that the risk of anything going wrong after the 12 week scan is tiny.

It is tiny, but worrying is usually not rational. The only hood thing is such a busy few weeks coming up that hopefully it will fly by and I'll be able to get some more reassurance. I wanted to join the antenatal thread but am too nervous so have promised myself I will after 20 weeks!! A Doppler sounds like a great idea but hubby won't let me have one, he says it'll make me neurotic and I think he's right! G-d why can't we all be as relaxed as the men???

Thank god I'm not the only one feeling like this. I'm 16+3 weeks and fed up to be honest.

I'm absolutely shattered all the time, am currently off work with my second bout of flu in the last 2 months. Have lost weight due to morning sickness so bump is pratically non existant and I'm so spotty I am practically a doppelganger for a dalmatian.

Am trying to stay positive as I previously had a mc so it's obviously a blessing that everything is fine this time but as you can see from the post the positive outlook is not going so well at the moment. Confused

It just feels like such a long wait until anything actually happens, a month til my 20 week scan and 2 months til my next mw appointment. Sad

Sorry for hijacking, just glad to see I'm not the only one who is feeling like this.

hello, I'm 14 wks something and don't feel preg. Ive had 2 scans and all is well, but feel totally normal. I had prev mmc, so also paranoid, and a bit p...d off that I don't see a midwife again until I'm 19 wks, and still waiting for the date of my 20 wke scan....

Hey All

Sarahmia, I'm so in the same boat - I'm 15+6 and just look fat! Am pretty much over the morning sickness and thankfully the carb addiction has slowed, but the bump, if it really can be described as such is so small that it just looks like wind or that I've eaten too much - both of which could be valid excuses as I'm prone to both!! haha.

And I've had 3 scans already, and am totally paranoid that I'm going to get to the 20 week scan and be told it's all gone wrong.

I'm guessing this just must the be ride called pregnancy huh?

Anyway, just thought I'd add that I too feel exactly the same, and judging by the other responses on this thread it seems to be normal. And from the responses of those at 30 weeks, we'll probably look back wistfully at this stage when we're big and uncomfortable.

16 weeks was the exact time I felt like this - So much so I bought forward a appt with my midwife so she could check baby. I think its really normal to suddenly feel not pregnant, particularly as you blossom in the 2nd trimester, make the most of it - I am now 34 weeks along and feeling very pregnant, fat and swollen!

I too am concerned because my boobs are no longer sore or tender. They were severely painful in first trimester. I am now 14 weeks.

Did this happen to anyone else??

Im in the same boat 18+1 and apart from massive boobs and bit of a belly, I dont feel pregnant anymore.
I'm worried that at the 20 week scan we'll get bad news, so its reassuring to know other people are feeling the same x

wishwales I am exactly where you are and am exactly the same regarding the boobs :) I'm still belching in an unladylike fashion and getting indigestion though, those are the only symptoms I have, really.

so glad i got it! bubs in there beating and moving away..my bump changes daily and ive had a i dont feel pregnant day - all that is behind me as i heard bubs just now!!

Sarahmia I am 17+2 and don't feel pg at all. Have seen the scan and heard the heartbeat at MW appt but still doesn't feel real!

I've said this all the way along in the due in July 2011 thread as apart from 2 weeks of feeling sick no other real symptoms*. I'm still in my own clothes as well.

Look out for me at wk 35 etc moaning about how big and fed up I am!!!!!

Jimmy I am so tempted by the doppler just need to convince DH!

*Oh and the irrational anger and agressiveness when things make me mad!
