Hi l'm looking for some advice as l'm really confused and a little worried. l did a pregnancy test about 2 weeks ago which said positive so did another one to double check and again it said +. Afterwards l started getting a brownish stringy discharge, not much but some when l wiped, this lasted a few days so l just assumed l was miscarrying. Anyway, last week l had a day l had a slightly pink discharge for a couple of hours so l thought this must be the sack starting to come away, there has been nothing since and l've done another 2 tests this week which have come back +. l am too scared to go to the docs because l dont know if l'm ready to get the bad news. Very confused. lf l am pregnant l would be 7 weeks on friday, what should l doConfused

FIrstly, whilst bleeding can be a sign of impending miscarriae it can also be very very NORMAL in early pregnancy.
And if you haven't been getting any painful cramps then, again, that's a good sign.

Nobody here can tell you for sure you're ok, or that you're not (although we will acknowledge that sometimes things do not end well for all of us)... but I suspect we'll all encourage you to see your doctor.

If you believe you're around 7 weeks then an early scan will probably go a long way to giving you answers one way or another and as you're bleeding I suspect your gp will refer you to an early pregnancy unit to have a scan.

Good luck - to be honest, it sounds like things are ok for and you're one of the many women who experience spotting in early pregnancy. But, to reiterate, I can't say for sure. So please see your doctor - fear of the unknown is usually worse than dealing with even bad news.

Hi, it could be implantation bleeding - I had this with all 3 DC. Have you got a history of mc? Are you having any pain? If you see your gp they may be able to refer you to an early pregnancy unit to conirm/reassure you. HTH

hi - it sounds like implantation bleeding to me, I've had 2 m/c one missed m/c at 8 weeks (baby didn't get past 5 weeks), and one at 6ish weeks, both times I bleed bright red, slightly clotty blood for a long time (like more than 2 weeks).

With my DC2 I had implantation bleeding the day after I did the pg test I got stringy blood streaked discharge (sorry TMI!) for about a week and some brown staining too.

I'd def say you need to see your doc - they don't have to scan you they could do your bloods to see if your hormones are increasing or decreasing.

Hope it turns out well for you xxx

I bled quite a few times this pregnancy between week 6 and 9. Mainly brownish mixed in with massive amounts of mucus that lovely pregnancy brings!!! Discusting!! But yes, implantation bleeds and then you can have more bleeding when the placenta attaches itself! I've had loads of strong period pains with this one but is my third, but they told me (gyne) that if your thin (I'm a size 10) then you feel the stretching pains moreso than somebody carrying a little weight!
I wouldn't worry too much over it as that can do you more harm than good! My sister never new she was pregnant till she was 14 weeks with her first as she had periods every month right on cue during her pregnancy too! Just a little lighter than normal but still red!
Go and see your doctor and they'll hopefully give you an early scan and in the mean time, congratulations!! Get exited! X x x
