I didn't. I think it helps that I am tall so the length of my legs and arms means there is enough room for my bump.

Pinner35 · 01/02/2011 18:36

I stopped at about 35 weeks.

elsiemarley · 01/02/2011 18:38

The day before with both.

Littlefish · 01/02/2011 18:39

I didn't. Obviously I didn't drive to the hospital (in labour), but kept going apart from that.

Choufleur · 01/02/2011 18:41

about 38 weeks. I got sciatica from where DS was lying and couldn't move my leg properly.

bigbadbarry · 01/02/2011 18:41

I didn't either, are you supposed to?

EauRouge · 01/02/2011 18:44

I didn't with DD and I'm still driving at almost 38 weeks with DC2. I have reduced journeys though because I am tired and I need to pee every 20 seconds Hmm Last week it took me 2 hours to do a 40 min journey because of traffic so I'm only doing short journeys from now on.

I find reversing a bit of a bugger though because I can't turn around as well so I'm careful about where I park.

Wigeon · 01/02/2011 18:45

I didn't. Why would you?

MrsTumbles · 01/02/2011 18:47

I crashed my car at 36 weeks so stopped driving after that! It wasn't bad, but it shook me up enough to make me stop until after DD was born.

unfitmother · 01/02/2011 18:50

Once the contractions were regular.

Butterbur · 01/02/2011 18:54

When I went into labour.

FranSanDisco · 01/02/2011 18:55

I didn't stop.

LostInTransmogrification · 01/02/2011 18:56

I drove the day before (waters broke during the night). Didn't really think about stopping driving beforehand.

Meglet · 01/02/2011 18:58

I didn't really. Although as my job involved a long motorway commute went on mat leave at I 30 weeks as I'd had enough of sitting in the car for an hour each way. I was fine for short drives around town.

In fact, I drove myself home from my ante-natal class in labour with DC1. And stopped for chips and fat coke on the way.

Mumbybumby · 01/02/2011 18:58

Didn't even cross my mind to! Need the car now I am an egg on legs as it takes so long to get anywhere :)

NancyDrewHasaClue · 01/02/2011 19:02

Er after my waters had been broken!

(I had arrived at hospital in london for a routine apt and parked in 2 hour bay and then had emergency induction. Only remembered car after waters were broken. DH hadn't arrived so MW suggested I go and move car. And I did Shock

summerof76 · 01/02/2011 19:05

I drove myself to hospital on the first contraction. Knew it was going to be a fast delivery and luckily hospital is only 10 minutes away. DS born 1 hour later. If I'd waited for DH or anyone else to take me, chances are we wouldn't have made it!

NL3 · 01/02/2011 19:05

I drove after my waters broke in the hospital after a routine appointment - car was in the pay and display and I wanted to get it home. Sat on a newspaper!!!Phoned the hospital a couple of hours later and they told to come in - I took a cab!!

thenightsky · 01/02/2011 19:06

When I went into labour.
