I cant remember exactly with my DC1 but I think it was about 36 weeks, im only 31 at the mo with DC2 but already having clutch issues cos my belly is getting in the way.
Just wondered when you all stopped?

Eglu I was quoting OP! " I am already having clutch issues cos my belly is getting in the way"

I stopped driving about 35 weeks with both of mine as I felt it was becoming dangerous.

I was having problems lifting my right foot off the accelarator to use the brake, and my left foot off the floor to use the clutch.

One at a time was fine, but both at once was impossible, and I worried that I wouldn't be able to brake in a hurry if I needed to.

Sleepwhendie - I have a big bump that is quite low and when I get into my car which is quite low too my bump rests on the top of my legs (sounds attractive I know :)) and I then find it difficult to lift my leg off the clutch completely and quickly and although not as bad I do notice the difference now when trying to go from accelerator and back.
Sleepingonthebus - That is exactly my worry, if I had an accident and I hadnt felt completely comfortable in the car I would feel so guilty knowing I wasnt driving to my best ability.
I think it depends on what car you have, my mum has a jeep and that is fine for me to sit and drive, and depends on how big you are i suppose Confused x

I didn't and was fine. I had about a two inch gap between me and the steering wheel though so if I'd got any bigger I'd have to have stopped.

I couldn't stop driving, dd1 still had to get to school

Last time I drove I think I was 41 weeks

Good job I didn't have some of the problems described above, I would have been right up shit creek otherwise.

I was more dangerous during early/mid pregnancy when hyperemesis was at its peak and I could literally be sick at any point with no warning (was sick in lap a couple fo times, how glamorous)

I didn't at all, my partner doesn't really drive and it wasn't an option really for me to stop, still driving at 42 weeks (though I didn't if I didn't feel up to it, eg one day had to go down to the ward 'cos I wasn't well and got a friend to drive me). I also drove home from the hospital 36 hours after having baby no. 1 - dp was so stressed, he'd managed to get the car there in one piece but only just and I wasn't risking me and the baby!

This post comes at a good time! I am 38 weeks and wonder whether I should stop driving... I am planning to take an one hour long drive in a few days' time.

Drove DD1 to school and back on Monday at 41+4. Had DD2 on Tuesday at 41+5 (or 40+12!).

I didn't ever stop with either!!! Drove home with mild contractions and then gave birth 2 hours later in my house (planned homebirth btw!)
