Urgent - can you take 'Stemetil' anti sickness tablets in pregnancy???

I was given these yesterday by my GP after seeing him relating to my pregnancy. I mentioned that I was very sick with it and he prescribed me these tablets. I've taken 1 yesterday and 2 today.
However have just read the leaflet and it says 'Do not take if pregnant or breastfeeding. If you are pregnant ask your Doctor or pharmacist for advice'

I presume that my GP knows what he is doing and prescribed me these for morning sickness so I'd imagine based on that they are ok to take, but just confused why the leaflet says otherwise.

The tablets are Stemetil 5mg Prochlorperazine Maleate

Any advice??

goodness, im so sorry if i have worried you! i did not mean to at all, i had hg with all my pg and whilst it was a horrible time i wasnt trying to make you worry, you might be fine after the 12-14 week mark (many are ive heard). What i was trying to do was reassure you of the safety of the medicine by telling you how long i took it for (sometimes i even took double the dose as felt so bad and the baby was fine).

I feel bad now !
